Karolína Elhotová - "We did not really played well at the start of the game so we knew we have to get better in the second half. They played really hard and tough so we had to get used to it a little bit. They play a little unorganized basketball but we get better in second half and I am glad we won. I expected that we score more points tonight but we struggled with our shot. Now we can say we will play against Belgium for first place in this group."
Štefan Svitek - "The result is okey for us. We really wanted to play well but we were nervous at the start of the game. In the second half we were much more agressive with our defense and fast breaks so I was more satisfied. I had to encourage girls at half time because they were little bit sloppy. In the first game against Germany we shoot very well but today we struggled even with our free throws. During this qualification window we played two solid games and have two wins."
Marielle Giroud - "We played very good first half, while we still had enough energy and the score was really close. We were actually quite surprised that it was only a four point game at the half. Also we missed some easy shots in the first two quaters. In the second half Czech Republic really stepped up in their defensive pressure and made the game a lot tougher for us. We have to take small steps, so we are happy with our performance in the first half and we have to build on it."
Damien Leyrolles - "I am very proud of my players for their play in the first half of this game. We also missed some shots we usually make so we could have been even closer than four points. I was trying to motivate girls to stay focused and continue with their energy in the second half, but I could see with every minute, that they are running out of stamina. We have a great group of players, there is a great connection between younger and older players and they stick together no matter what. I liked our performace better in the first half of this game, but against Belgium we played more even during the whole game."
